B&B ‘ROOTS’ OUT FAMOUS COUSINS

Band & Brown put in place the final piece of the ‘Roots’ jigsaw this week in a world-first media event at the Who Do You Think You Are? LIVE Show in London.
Alex Haley, originator of the seminal US mini-series, always maintained that his great grandfather was a white Scottish plantation owner – but could never prove it. Now, using cutting edge DNA technology from Ancestry.co.uk, we are finally able to prove the link and bring together Haley’s nephew, Chris, with his long-lost Scottish cousin, June Baff-Black.
Chris Haley was flown over from his home in Maryland so that the reunion could be broadcast live on BBC Breakfast. A follow-up photo opp at the Who Do You Think You Are? LIVE was splashed across four national newspapers and created a huge noise across popular family history blogs.
