BAND & BROWN GROWS NEW HEADS

Band & Brown is working with NCSL on a landmark campaign to recruit the next generation of headteachers in England, to replace the thousands who will retire in the next three years.
Many female teachers would make excellent heads but lack the confidence to put themselves forward. We set about addressing this with a dedicated campaign, ‘Women in Headship’, including a series of motivational seminars and landmark research on women’s aspirations for the top job.
The campaign secured front pages in two of the titles most read by teachers - TES and The Independent Education - reinforcing the message that women can do the job, and do it brilliantly. Our campaign has received messages of support from female teachers across the country.
